- Engines for carbureted models all come with the S&S® Super G carburetor with the slotted “Desperado” air cleaner cover
- The S&S® Intelligent Spark Technology (IST) ignition system can be purchased with carbureted S&S® Twin Cam style engines
- The IST Guardian “break in rev limit” feature is activated on IST modules sold with complete S&S® engines
- This feature protects the new engine from premature failure with a lower rev limit during break in
- Engines equipped with the IST ignition are covered by an extended 2-year manufacturer’s warranty
- IST equipped engines are available for 99-03 models, while engines without the IST ignition can be used in 99-up motorcycles
- Includes S&S® oil filter, 4 quarts of Mobil 1 motor oil and spark plugs
